On November 30th, we celebrated 50 years of extraordinary cancer research and care. Through the creative
theme of Art is Medicine: Medicine is an Art, Sylvester Director Stephen D. Nimer, M.D., and gala
co-chairs, Kinga Lampert, Lisa Heiden-Koffler and Georgia Nimer, celebrated Sylvester’s
incredible advances and the inspiring work of our physicians, researchers, nurses and staff.
At the heart of each moment was a recognition of Sylvester’s extraordinary progress and our hopes and
dreams for the future of cancer research and care around the world. These aspirations are converging
in the Kenneth C. Griffin Cancer Research Building, a beacon of research innovation and hope
for families and communities impacted by cancer. The anniversary gala raised $3.2 million for
the Griffin Cancer Research Building, and ongoing fundraising and awareness-raising efforts are bringing this dream to fruition.
Scroll down for a virtual walkthrough of the Griffin Cancer Research Building, photos from the gala, and a warm salute to all our
sponsors and community partners.
